The Event Distrobution Point, or EDP2, is used to announce DVR events to NetVu Observer. When activity detection, system restart, camera failures and other types of events are triggered on the DVR they will be announced to a server running the EDP2 software. The server, in turn, announces the events to NetVu viewers that are logged into the EDP2 server. The operator can acknowledge the events and note what action was taken to resolve it.
