Dedicated Micros products are built using the Java platform.  This requires the end-user install the Java Runtime Environment, or JRE on their PC.  The JRE is used to load the Java environment for NetVu Connected products when viewing from the Live Page or via NetVu Observer.  As of August 2007 there are 6 versions of the Java client and each version has various updates.  This is important to know because DM DVR's require a specific version of the Java Runtime Environment based on which system software is installed as well as the version of NetVu Observer being used.  When installing the JRE it is recommended to download from the unit directly by clicking on the Downloads button.

Lower than 4.5 (014) - Java Runtime Environment 5 update 9
