The master.sfm file contains all the configurations for the NetVu Connected recorder. This can be copied to multiple DVR's to maintain configurations and can also be deleted to default system configurations.

1. Open a command prompt:

• Click Start
• Click Run
• Type “cmd.exe” and press Enter

2. Check the directory on your local computer:

• Remember which directory you are currently located in the command prompt (WinXP defaults to My Documents). This is where the master.sfm file will be saved.

• If the current folder is not where you wish to save the master.sfm file change to a suitable directory.

3. FTP to the Dedicated Micros DS2AD:

• At the command prompt type “ftp <ip-address>” where <ip-address> is the TCP/IP address of your DVR (e.g. “ftp 192.168.1.10”).

• The default login is “dmftp” for the user and “ftp” for the password.

4. Change directories to the FRM_DATA folder on the DVR:

• At the FTP command prompt type “cd i:\”

• Type “cd/FRM_DATA” or “cd FRM_DATA”

5. Change the file transfer type to ASCII:

• At the FTP command prompt type “type ascii”

6. GET the MASTER.SFM file:

• At the FTP command prompt type “get master.sfm”

• There should now be a copy of master.sfm on your computer in the directory that your command prompt is set for (e.g. My Documents).

7. PUT the MASTER.SFM file:

• Follow directions under step 1.

• Navigate to the directory where the master.sfm is.

• Follow directions under step 3 and 4.

• At the FTP command prompt type “put master.sfm”
