Upgrade Instructions for Classic Units

• UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

Make sure the computer is connected to the Digital unit and/or that computer can communicate with the Digital unit via the network port. If unsure how to connect, please consult with your IS/IT department, or consult a network specialist for assistance.

Put the Digital Unit into 'Bootloader mode' by going to TIME, DATE AND LANGUAGE menu page

Select SYSTEM SHUTDOWN menu option

When prompted to hold in camera 1, hold down Camera 2 instead

The unit should automatically restart after a few seconds

After the unit restarts, "Halted in Bootloader" should appear at the bottom of the screen

Unzip the software to your local disk (default, C:\DM SOftware). Select the correct software from the DM Software directory

Double click on "FTP.EXE" to run upgrade program

Type IP Address of unit to be upgraded in space labeled "Select Unit"

Click the 'Download' button

They should see the following messages appear below: Connect: (ip address will be listed)

230 User logged in, proceed STOR \bin\zip.cof 150 File status okay; about to open data connection STOR disk.zip 150 File status okay; about to open data connection QUIT 221 Service closing control connection. Logged out if appropriate.

• if the customer gets any error messages about connection failed or connection timed out or any syntax errors you can have the customer restart the pc or try from a different pc.*

Wait for 2 blue status bars to finish at bottom of the FTP Download software screen

Power down the unit from the mains

Wait 10 seconds

Apply power to the unit. The unit will now upgrade the software automatically
